Afton Mountain Inn

We stayed at Afton Mountain Inn for three nights earlier this week. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and the nature walk was a really nice touch. Since the inn does not serve breakfast, we enjoyed going to Belties (about 7 miles south on Route 151). We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in the area.

We had the best time during our stay at the Afton Mountain Inn. We stayed in suite 2 and it was so comfortable and clean. We loved the location and being within 5 miles of vineyards and breweries. We also loved only being 20 minutes from Shenandoah National Park. The Inn was better than expected. It was so cozy and had all the amenities we needed. We loved enjoying wine on the fire pit at night. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in suite 3 for our 1 Year Anniversary. It was extraordinary. The bed and linens was sleeping on clouds. The rooms and grounds immaculate. Very romantic setting.

The family and I stayed in the two bedroom suite #6. It was a very nice venue with a large living/dining room and a large full-service kitchen. The facility was clean and well maintained. The outside venues, fire pit, pool, and hot tub was nice additions. I especially liked relaxing in the morning at the fire pit while drinking coffee. Great location for visiting breweries and hiking.

We had a wonderful experience staying the night at Afton Mountain Inn. The check in process was super simple and all you needed was a code to get into your room that you could get online upon arrival. The rooms were so nice and clean, and had so many thoughtful amenities. We used the on site hot tub (in February ) and enjoyed the quiet starry night. The location is also very convenient to all of the Nelson 151 wineries and breweries. Overall we loved our experience here and were already trying to figure out when we can come back!

I would recommend this spot to everyone! The location is super convenient for those looking to hike and visit some breweries/wineries. The property was very well maintained and we enjoyed all the amenities. One complaint would be that it did feel a bit overpriced after all of the fees & taxes. Also, it is very close to the main road so if you are looking for a silent escape this may not be the spot. Still an easy spot to have a great stay.

My fiancé and I stayed here for my birthday weekend. It’s a fantastic inn that has been lovingly maintained by new owners. The location is tucked in a beautiful corner of Virginia, close to many great wineries and dining options. The inn was so peaceful and relaxing, the rooms had high ceilings and modern updated bathrooms. I loved drinking my morning coffee on the rocking chairs outside. Even though there were multiple guests in the inn, it usually felt like we were alone, and could relax in the parlor room or around the property in peace. We didn’t get to use all of the amenities but we’ll definitely be back. It was also a fantastic value for money.

I rarely give this level of review. In short, this place is nothing short of spectacular. We stayed in Suite 6. It is incredibly large and very very well appointed. Family of five and it more than accommodated us all. Wonderful layout, absolutely up to date on every fashion all within an 1848 era farmhouse. Approaching the property the exterior doesn’t do justice to the interior . Definitely a “don’t judge a book by its cover” property. Really nice amenities outside as well! The location is wonderful. Halfway between Charlottesville and Wintergreen and close to many vineyards. Without question recommend this place HIGHLy and will stay here again
